Negroponte states the obvious, Rice says wait for the book to find out about Iraq mistakes!

National Intelligence Director John Negroponte says Iraq is far more precarious than much of Vietnam was when he served as a U.S. diplomat there in the 1960's.An expert on Vietnam and one-time adviser to former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger, Negroponte said he sees more differences than similarities between the two conflicts and they are all to the negative. In Vietnam, for example, there was a clear enemy, given Soviet support of the North Vietnamese. That is the least of it.
Additionally, "in Vietnam, the cities were secure. The province capitals were secure. I walked around that country as an unarmed civilian for almost four years without ever having any serious brushes," said Negroponte, who served in the U.S. Embassy in Saigon. "In Iraq, even the capital is highly insecure — perhaps one of the most insecure places in the country." Iraq sadly will make Vietnam look easy despite the nightmares and it is just the start!

Negroponte made the remarks in a wide-ranging interview that airs Sunday evening on C-SPAN's "Q&A" program. A transcript was made available to The Associated Press. http://ww4report.com/...

Then Condi again admitted that this misadministration has made mistakes in Iraq but we will have to wait for her to leave office and wait for the book. We don't have to wait for the book. We already know! http://www.ktre.com/...

This misadministration has insisted on learning nothing from the past and has duplicated every single mistake made in Vietnam despite or maybe because of Negroponte's and the rest of them's Vietnam experience.

Also Iraq is already far worse than Vietnam already and this is still just getting started. It will continue to get a lot worse before the entire middle east is engulfed then this will really get going. This is coming from a peace loving, observant, realist.

This is only unbiased common sense and I have been saying it for years. It should have been obvious before Iraq was attacked. Over time wars don't get easier, better, or less destructive. They get progressively worse in every respect!

I have to say first that I had Grandfathers and Uncle's in WW 1 and WW 2. They were patriotic, valiant, and did a great job for the country. I just have to say that WW 1 was just a warm up as to what it would take to persevere in WW 2.

Likewise, WW 2 was a step towards what is still just getting under way. It should be common sense and a warning not to go down the road we are headed headlong.

With unbridled, perverted, religiosity on both sides of this so called war on terror, Islamists on one side and Bush's perverted fundamentalism on the other, Iraq is still just getting started. With China, Russia, the non aligned nations, and the rest of the world, though we don't want it, it will spread from there.

We can still stop this backward slide but someone in the world of consequence must realize what is happening and get the rest of the world to realize it.

Isn't blogger spam annoying? Still, thank you for leaving the captcha turned off so posting is easier. Typing those senseless letters drives away many real commenters I'm sure.

It doesn't bother me but I hope it doesn't drive others away from posting here. He says he is new but I hear from him quite a bit. Thanks!

I just delete the spam, because the people who put it there just use bots [automation] to plaster them and will never return to reply.

Okay! I'll start doing that. I always wondered why I kept getting the same message from just this one person.
They did change their message to say hi I'm new. But they are the same old whoever!
