Will Congress stop Bush or will Al Qaeda's oil policy?

Yesterday we heard The Republican veterans speaking in favor of keeping our troops in the middle of the civil war in Iraq. That is unconscionable. Keeping them there will change nothing and they will follow us home and everywhere else in the world regardless of the childish rhetoric.
The non binding resolution did pass 246 yeah, 182 Nay with 17 Republican's joining Democrats. It was a rejection of Bush's policies but he doesn't care yet. However, it is not just about pacifying our base as Republicans childishly argue. It is all about satisfying their warmongering base. We want the right thing done for our troops, my sons included. that is what it should be about not satisfying Republican egos and whittling down doing the right thing for our troops to a Republican pissing contest disregarding the desires of our troops.
Many of the troops can be seen now saying it is time for them to leave Iraq. They did their job and I have to agree. I have to tell you, the Republican bullshit that we are dishonoring our troops if we pull out before the job is done id just that. My sons love what they are doing and
One is headed willingly back to Iraq in April. However being lied to and treated in a way to disgrace them and our America is more important than saving Bush's little face.
I refuse to believe that Democrats have been reduced to playing the republicans childish games but I hope it works. Something has to!
In a letter to the president on Wednesday, Pelosi and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nevada, said, "thousands of the new troops" being sent into Iraq "will apparently not have the armor and equipment they need to perform the mission and reduce the likelihood of casualties."
Demanding that troops meet certain requirements before being sent into harms' way was an idea initiated by Rep. Jack Murtha, the top Democrat on the House committee that oversees military spending.
Murtha said in a letter to Bush on Wednesday that thousands of the new troops" being sent into Iraq "will apparently not have the armor and equipment they need to perform the mission and reduce the likelihood of casualties."Demanding that troops meet certain requirements before being sent into harms' way was an idea initiated by Rep. Jack Murtha, the top Democrat on the House committee that oversees military spending.
I refuse to believe that Army Chief of Staff Gen. Peter Schoomaker said protective gear for troops in Iraq was not a problem."Obviously, we are not going to put any force into theater that isn't properly trained and equipped," Schoomaker said. I mean what kind of bull shit is that. They have been doing it from day one and they know it yet they still have the nerve to blatantly lie so they can have their way. There is no conscience here and it is sickening.
I am sick of hearing mindless arguments made by Bush followers and ignorant demands made by Bush so he can have his wars and follow his plan for new middle east and order. what about our troops? What about our America they supposedly care about? What about being honest and putting the interests of the country first? The games must stop! If Republicans really care about our America they better start making believe they mean it and get our troops home we they are needed and stop the lies and the games. http://www.cnn.com/...
Okay, I have to say our Democratic Congress is trying but now Bush is daring them to create a binding resolution to stop him and the funding of the troops. Bush really pisses you off with his ignorant undeserved audacity. Dealing with the chief idiot really makes you evaluate what you think about Al Qaeda's latest efforts to stop Bush.
As you also may know, a Saudi Arabian terrorist group with ties to Al Qaeda has called for Muslims around the world to attack oil installations – including those in Canada, Venezuela, and Mexico – in order to stop the flow of oil to the United States. NBC reports that the group, Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula, posted the message on its online magazine Sawt al-Jihad, or Voice of the Holy War.
Al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula said in its monthly magazine posted on an Islamic Web site that "cutting oil supplies to the United States, or at least curtailing it, would contribute to the ending of the American occupation of Iraq and Afghanistan." The group said it was making the statements as part of Osama bin Laden's declared policy. It was not possible to verify independently that the posting was from the terror faction. http://www.csmonitor.com/...
I can't possibly see anyone wanting our fuel supply cut off or even seriously curtailed. How do you think this will affect the so called war on terror? Would this bring the parties together? Will it serve to further Bush's middle east involvement? Would this curtail Bush where Congress seems unable to? Give me your thoughts on all this please!

I linked over here from a very smart lady named "Cooper."

I recall when the war first started, hearing the stories of troops being sent into Iraq, armed only with a semi-auto pistol and a single clip of ammunition, or even a half-clip for some. I felt so ashamed of our government at that moment. Then I recall stories of families sending the troops sheets of steel to plate their vehicles, because the gov't couldn't provide it for them.

This bullshit of "anyone against the war is against the troops" is absurd. I respect anyone who is willing to sign up for duty. But I cannot respect a gov't who mismanage a war as badly as Bush's people have.

I hope your sons are ok.

Well thank cooper for me. I agree! It really drives me crazy when you hear Bush's military pundits say they would never send troops into harms way under equipped and unprepared.
As you point out, it has been going on from day one and worse with unscrupulous contractors in Iraq taking full advantage of Bush's insistance on no oversight and screwing us and to he troops out of Billions and leaving them unsafe.
I am very much against this war. It is Bush's ploy to prosecute his new middle east and world order. I do not like that he is abusing and misusing my sons who are very loyal.
The one in EOD in Afghanistan is due home in April and his brother who will be flying support in Iraq goes back in April.
Thanks for thinking of them. I will be driving to Florida with one of their other brothers to see Joe before he deploys. There is a lot to all of this but I will spare you. Let me show you this though if you please!
He attacked Iraq to establish his new middle east order. His facade of Diplomacy and purposely rising tensions around the world are so he can pursue his new world order!
From 9/11 he has been following a plan. Fighting terrorism was not it. It was just the reason he needed to attack Iraq and start to implement his new middle east and world order. Please read the following and you will understand everything.
As you may remember, Bush was looking for something to happen that would put the country and the world behind what he already had plans to do. 9/11 gave him that something. He has been lying and misleading right from the beginning.
He had plans right from the beginning to establish a new societal, middle east, and world order. That is why it was important to him to whip up a media and public fury which of course, he has done.
He used the excuse of 9/11 to attack Iraq and unsettle the middle east guaranteeing the loss of Afghanistan, Iraq, and the entire middle east. If fighting terrorism was his goal he would have stayed in Afghanistan. He lied to our troops and us from the beginning.
He did this so he could further his idea of a new middle east and world order. Of course lying all the while and whipping up as much support and frenzy as he could in the media and minds he controls until he can fully implement his plans..
At this point it behooves him to continue to ignore reality and continue to whip up a frenzy so he can continue staying the course in order to further prosecute his new middle east and world order.
We are all shamelessly being used so Bush can follow his plan for new order. I wrote this 3 years ago but it is more obvious today. Let me know what you think? I won't get any deeper but it gets worse from here.

I have to wonder what Bush wants after his term is up. He won't have any power anymore, and if he is so egotistical as to think he is the one to change the course of the world, he should be removed from office and locked in a small padded room.

Hi Mike
I hate to say it but don't think Bush will just go away in 2008. He has his hands in control of what is supposed to be the greatest power on earth. He and his handlers will nit give it up easily or willingly as you can see.
I did quite a few stories in the past in that area. If you go back a week or two you will find a couple. Anyway I would not put it past the chief idiot as he has something underhanded up his sleeve, to cancel elections and declare martial order.
Thereby he would keep his power and Congree will continue to be powerless to stop him if we are ever lucky enough to negate the Republicans in Congress.
We the people are the only thing that will get anything done as long as Bush is around and we will have to rise up and force Congresses hand.
I wrote something called A Manifesto to the World! It is 9,000 words and on EFile. I will send it to you if you have an email. I will look in a minute. It will sober you right up and blow you away. Please let me know what you think! Jim
