Putin wants to hang Saakashvili by the Balls: Secretary of State Clinton with Bill would inherit a Bush mess, what about Kerry? What do you think?

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton?

Rumor has it Hillary met Obama in Chicago to discuss it

Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton is among the candidates that President-elect Barack Obama is considering for secretary of state, two Obama advisors told NBC News. Clinton, the former first lady who pushed Obama hard for the Democratic presidential nomination, was rumored to be a contender for the job last week, but the talk died down as party activists questioned whether she was best-suited to be the nation's top diplomat in an Obama administration.
The talk resumed in Washington and elsewhere Thursday, a day after Obama named several former aides to President Bill Clinton to help run his transition effort. Clinton's office told NBC News Thursday that any decisions about the presidential transition are up to Obama and his team.

Clinton was in Chicago on Thursday but an advisor told NBC that the visit was for personal business. Other people frequently mentioned for the State Department job are Sen. Chuck Hagel, R-Neb., Sen. John Kerry, D-Mass., New Mexico Democratic Gov. Bill Richardson and former Sen. Tom Daschle (D-S.D.). Secretary of State possibilities

There is not a bad prospect among the lot but what about Senator Kerry who wants the job and is actively lobbying for the job? A position should be found for 5 of the prospects mentioned. We could only win!

Just look at this one incident in the mess Bush created for Obama and whoever he picks as Secretary of State. This is unbelievable! Nicolas Sarkozy saved the President of Georgia from a threat by Vladimir Putin to depose him from power and "hang him by the balls," according to an account that emerged today from the Elysée Palace. The Russian Prime Minister told the French President of his plans for deposing the Tbilisi government and disposing of President Saakashvili when the French leader was in Moscow last August to broker a cease-fire in Georgia.

Jean-David Levitte, Sarkozy's chief diplomatic adviser, reported the exchange in a magazine today ahead of an EU-Russia summit in Nice Friday chaired by the French leader and President Medvedev. With Russian tanks only 30 miles from Tbilisi on Aug. 12, Sarkozy told Putin that the world would not accept the overthrow of Georgia, Levitte said. "I am going to hang Saakashvili by the balls," Putin replied.

Sarkozy responded: "Hang him?" "Why not? The Americans hanged Saddam Hussein," Putin said.Hang Saakashvilli by the balls, Bush hung Saddam

I reiterate Bush has left one hell of a mess for Obama and for his Secretary of State to deal with and with Hillary you get the wisdom of Bill but I think any one of the prospects would be a great pick but will be forced here too to circumstances set in motion by Bush's ignorance and belligerence!

We are pretty much out of the boxes now. This morning I have 15 to 20 pictures paintings and wall ornaments to hang. The hallway from the living room kitchen to the end of the bedrooms is white, wide, hardwood floor, ornamental varnished railings the length and perfect for an art Gallery! This should look great, I will be back shortly!

Your new house looks great Jim.

Everything you posted was in the news here too. What a mess indeed.

I personally think that Hilary would do a great job. I think she is highly intelligent and was always the backbone behind Bill when he was in the White House.

The only worry she has, is to make sure that her husbands zipper stays closed with all those young attractive internees walking around.

lol

Hi Monique
It is funny but just finished hanging up the paintings and everything and I just want to keep looking at everything. Still can't get over the house it is gorgeous! Everyone who comes in wants to move in.
Anyway as you know, Bush has not only made a mess of us but the entire world order as was his goal. I don't know if this can be turned around but if it can Obama can do it!
Whoever takes Secretary of State has a major mess to deal with. I think Hillary is capable and to me with Hillary you get Bill and he is not stupid. I just hope by now he has learned to kep it in his pants!

Hi there Average American Patriot! How are things?

Bush's legacy: He'll be forever remain the anti-thesis of what's good leadership and governance is all about.

The young will be reminded not to emulate him: "Do you want to end up like Bush?", i.e., reviled, detested, despised...

By the way, I'm all for Hillary getting the job. She'll be outstanding.

But should she decide not to accept it, I have someone else in mind, someone Obama himself likes and admires. He mentioned him during the last of the prez debates: Gen Jim Jones, ex SACEUR, very well respected in the international community.

Hi Hill blogger!!
It is still night here but I just saw on someones site that Hillary has accepted the job and will replace Rice. A tough row to hoe all around thanks to the chief war monger but if given a chance Obama will not disappoint!
