What happens to the world if and when the U S files for Bankruptcy?

Obama Budget Would Create Highest-ever Deficit

America's Impending Master Class Dictatorship Frightening but you can not deny this reality! We are in serious trouble and as I have pointed out for years it was done on purpose and right under our unsuspecting noses! Our real debt including Debt and unfunded liabilities is $120 trillion! Wrap your mind around that!

Those who have followed me over the years know I have often talked about the lie we are living today! I just Googled an example! An Average American Patriot: So many lies today in the lie we are ...

Think about it! What is the world without America? What would happen to the entire world if we were to file for Bankruptcy? China for one would be in anarchy and go under as the country she is today and wants to be tomorrow. I find this all very disturbing because it is laid on Obama's shoulders and being credited with this mess. Unfunded liabilities, ballooning deficit, ballooning debt, it is all Chinese to most of us. One thing I do know is President Clinton ran a surplus inherited by G W Bush. He was even looking at retiring the Debt. Bush changed all that forever!

Bush Cheney Greenspan Rove Gonzales, all the enablers, do not get enough credit for what they did in allowing the moral and financial bankrupting of America. I won't bother you with another link but Michael Whitney did a great piece detailing how Greenspan set it up. Those so called men are heralded as heroes by some. You have to realize they are all benefactors.

I always said Bush or those behind him learned their lessons well and anything they touched would be much worse than a like event in History. During the Depression when Roosevelt was trying to rebuild America we knew it happened on the Republican's watch and who to blame. They also knew and wanted to help fix it not make it worse as Republicans are doing today.

Anyway think back and you will see that everything was done on purpose and especially the timing was no coincidence. Bush and Greenspan kept the collapse off until he was out of office. People say get over it! Move on! However we will never get over it or be able to forget Bush as much as we want as his damage will affect our and the worlds lives forever. No I am not giving that bunch too much credit.

They shaped our future and the future of the whole world like it or not!et over it, not hardly! The debt clock had to be started during Reagan's time because of his success but could only register 9 trillion. Because of Bush's so called success it had to be altered to register 10 trillion. Now the debt is moving so fast it is going virile. 3.8 trillion is our new record budget for next year. How far off can bankruptcy be especially knowing how bad it really is?

The US is bankrupt, now fiscally as well as morally. The Government was bought by corporate power to use as a tool to siphon wealth into corporate pockets.

If only Obama could summon the courage as FDR did and become a "traitor to his class".

Obama could become a great leader, but he needs to turn on his own Big Money benefactors. And I see see little or no support for such a thing in the Democratic Party.

Man you nailed it with this: The US is bankrupt, now fiscally as well as morally. The Government was bought by corporate power to use as a tool to siphon wealth into corporate pockets. WTF what hope is there now?

Obama still has potential, it all depends whether he wants to be a two-term president or not, if he turns his fire on the corporate power, he will be a one-term president, unless he can persuade the independents, the crucial swing voters his way.

I'm afraid that the decline is going to continue, and it will televised. We have to hit bottom, before we can recover. Lose hope before we can regain it...

This is what the end of an empire looks like.

Holte did you see what Dave said?

"We're screwed"

I know Wease and those who can are taking what they can before the ship goes down instead of working to keep it from sinking and turning it around.

I did see what Dave said, I don't believe we are screwed, but are well on the way. If we are right now, then we are all wasting our time talking about it.

Holte it really stinks and I was never aware of it until Bush but we see everything but are powerless to do anything!

(1.) I do not believe America will become a totalitarian corporate dictatorship, because I don't believe America is going to survive intact. We are going to do what the Soviet Union did, for the exact same reasons.

(2.) China will take a hit, but they will survive. They've been around a long time now, and they've ramped up preparations for our ultimate collapse.

Hey Jolly how the hell are you? I have 4 sons who are doing their she to make sure we don't go down but I was convinced way back when that we were going the route of the Roman Empire Bush just sped it up!

China will take one hell of a hit and since they grow and thrive because of us they will flounder for a while on their own, Russia does not need us and who knows if they will take the opportunity to dominate China. What a frail balance we have!

I think Weaseldog has a good point. You of all people should recall that there's been the Roman empire, the British empire and Spain just to name a few. Life will go on after the fall. China is so tied to our economy that they have no choice but to lend us more money.
FDR by the way had the fight of his life on his hands during that time even an assassination plot by the corporate robber barons. They wanted nothing to do with his New Deal. FDR had spent 40% of GDP at the time and was able to get the beginnings of Social Security and wanted health care for all even back then. And taxes back then were 90% on the rich those making $100,000.

Demeur of course Wease is right! We were going the route of the roman empire, Bush just sped it up. We are at the end of what is a normal stup in the life cycle of a society.

We know that but our so called leaders do not seem to care and seem to be going the normal route of taking what they can before it goes down.

China and the US interests are tied beyond extrication at this point. It is hard to say which would suffer the most in a split but I think it might be China.

Things are getting pretty vitriolic so we will see. What a mess!
